Swap a weed for a native plant at Pest-Fest

30 October 2014

Conservation Week kicks off across the country on 1 November with thousands of events and activities designed to get us outdoors, exploring, and discovering.

Pest-Fest, at Waitangi Park on 9 November, is one of these events.

Pest-Fest is a free family fair with fun games for all, interactive activities and information about New Zealand’s pest plants and animals, as well as spot prizes and giveaways. Best of all, you can bring along a pest plant and they’ll give you a free native plant in exchange.

So go find one of those pesky weeds, grab the family and friends, and head on down to Waitangi Park any time between 9am–3pm on Sunday 9 November.
