Run in the Senshu Marathon 2015

13 October 2014

If you are a serious, long-distance runner and have always wanted to visit Japan then we would like to hear from you.

The Wellington Sakai Association and Wellington City Council are looking for a marathon runner to represent the Capital in the 2015 Senshu International City Marathon in Osaka, Japan next February.

The successful applicant will travel free to Japan, staying three nights in a hotel and three nights in a Japanese homestay, and run the marathon on Sunday 15 February 2015.

Kirsten Stevens, the Council's International Relations Strategic Advisor says, "We are grateful to Sakai for inviting us to participate the iconic marathon in Osaka in the 21st anniversary year of sister city relationship. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Wellingtonian to become ambassador for the city by running in the marathon."
