Neighbours Day Aotearoa 2015, the annual celebration to encourage everyone to be neighbourly, will be celebrated on the weekend of 28-29 March 2015. The focus in Wellington for 2015 is on youth and seniors in our communities.

Wellington City Council is inviting all registered organisations to apply for funding for their events or projects specifically targeting inclusion and interactions between youth and/or seniors in our neighbourhoods and communities.

A maximum amount of $500 can be allocated per project that specifically targets youth and senior. Projects planned for the end of November 2014 through to 29 March 2015 will fit the timeframe of this funding round.

The grant will support projects from registered organisations or societies. If you are a non-legal entity group then we can offer assistance to find an umbrella organisation. Your project or event will need to meet the necessary requirements. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need assistance with finding an umbrella organisation.

All applications should be submitted before or no later than 12 midnight on 29 October 2014. For more information visit on how to apply visit our Funding section.
