Having previously donated the fleet of scooters for City Mobility, TSB Bank continues to show support of this initiative by recently gifting these two scooters.

Councillor David Lee says this initiative is part of the wider Accessible Action Plan 2012-2015, developed in partnership with the community to support people and partnerships to reduce and eliminate physical barriers in Council facilities, services and programmes.
Wellington is a people-centred Smart Capital and we want everyone to have the opportunity to contribute and participate. Council is taking a leadership role in this area and we believe that our actions will influence other Wellington based organisations and services to do the same”.
As well as the donation of two new scooters, other improvements to the service include two new scooter locations at Wagamama Restaurant on the waterfront and CQ Hotel on Cuba Street. These are additional to the other scooter locations in the central city at the Wellington City Council, Wakefield Street, the Cable Car, and Freyberg pool.
Scooters are also available at Kilbirnie Library, Karori Community Centre, and for on-site use at Te Papa, Zealandia and the Botanic Gardens.
