Late-night bars will close at 4am from 18 December

If you’re out on the town, you’ll have to plan ahead as there is limited public transport.

From Thursday until Sunday 22 December, there will be extra buses at 5am from Courtenay Place, going to:

  • Newlands, Grenada, Churton Park, Johnsonville
  • Tawa, Elsdon, Titahi Bay, Porirua East, Whitby, Paremata, Plimmerton
  • Naenae, Stokes Valley, Upper Hutt
  • Lower Hutt, Wainuiomata
  • Lower Hutt, Eastbourne.

There will also be more taxi ranks along Courtenay Place and Police will be managing traffic flows through this area. Blair Street will be closed to traffic at the Cambridge Terrace end from 10pm and parking will be gradually freed up for taxis.
