Use Snapper to Pay for Parking

Did you know that you can use your Snapper card to pay for parking?

Snapper for parking was launched in Wellington in April with 50 terminals. After a successful trial it’s now available at all 550 pay-and-display parking meters in the central city, covering more than 3,000 car parking spaces.

This means that as well as being able to pay for parking using cash, credit card or TXT-a-Park, you can also pay by Snapper or by using the free Snapper Mobile app on any 2degrees Touch2Pay smartphone.

Wellington is the first city in the world to adopt this technology for parking, which means that paying for parking in Wellington is easier - the same Snapper card you use for the bus, in taxis and to pay for coffee also pays for parking. Look for the Snapper logo on your parking meter, hold your card in front of the reader, and follow the easy on-screen instructions - there’s no need to insert your card into the machine.
