Book Month at Our Libraries

Celebrate New Zealand Book Month at our libraries. The Three Bears’ Breakfast, Saturday 9 March at 10.30am, is a free event (with breakfast) for children and families.

Tomorrow, Wednesday 6 March, author Catherine Robertson will discuss her novels, writing and publishing at 6pm at the Central Library.

Storyteller and children’s writer Mona Williams will read to school children at Newtown Library on Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 March. Also on Tuesday, meet Alina Suchanski at the Central Library at 5.30pm.

Alina is the author of Alone, based on the life of her stepfather Tony Leparowski, a Polish orphan who came to Pahiatua in 1944.

A panel of local young authors of science fiction, fantasy and horror - Tim Jones, Sally McLennan, Matt Cowens, Paul Mannering, Michael Parry and Anna Caro - will read and discuss their work at the Central Library, 6pm, Wednesday 20 March.
