Open Day at Terrace Tunnel
13 March 2012
The Terrace Tunnel upgrade will soon be completed, so come along on Sunday 25 March for a once-in-a-life time walk-through with the NZ Transport Agency.
Come along to The Terrace Tunnel walk-through
Entry is by gold coin donation with all proceeds to Wellington Children's Hospital. Go to the old tunnel off-ramp at the intersection of Willis and Ghuznee streets from 7.00pm for the opening ceremony and the tunnel will be open to walk through from 7.30pm - 9.00pm.
If you can, please take public transport to reduce the number of vehicles in town. If you do need to drive, we suggest parking at the Gilmer Terrace and Plimmer Towers buildings off Boulcott Street, or other car parks in the central city rather than on Willis Street.
If you're travelling around the city on Sunday 25 March please be aware The Terrace tunnel will be closed from 6.00pm - 11.00pm.
