Creative Uses for Empty Space
25 July 2011
Picture this, a panel made up of property managers and developers listening to artists talking about what they would like to do with vacant space.
Musician Shona Jounas pitches her creative ideas
Then the reverse - developers pitching to artists on the same subject. If you want to see this spectacle, in true 'Dragon's Den' style, then come along to the Illott Theatre at the Town Hall on Friday evening (29 July). There, you can hear some inspirational ideas on how to make the most of the capital's vacant offices and retail space.
Hosted by Letting Space - a programme set up a few years ago to encourage creative use of empty spaces - this session will also inform part of our Toward 2040: A Smart Green Wellington public consultation. The consultation explores what Wellingtonians want the city to be like by 2040. Further details on the consultation can be found at:
Wellington 2040 website
or by phoning us on (04) 499 4444.
Last year was the first Urban Dream Brokerage pitching session, and people were turned away from the event, so we recommend you get there early.
The event kicks off at 6.00pm sharp. For more information, go to:
