Every year community groups do valuable work restoring our natural environment.
Volunteers help out with planting natives in the city's reserves
Last winter volunteers planted tens of thousands of native plants and trees in reserves around the city - and we'd love you to be part of this year's effort.
The planting season is organised by communities and runs from June to September each year.
First off the rank is an Arbor Day planting session this Thursday 2 June at Seton Nossiter Park in Grenada Village / Paparangi.
Planting will take place from 10.00am until 2.00pm, with a break for speeches and lunch at 12 noon. The main access to the site is via Mark Avenue; access is also available via Bushland Grove.

All you need to bring is your gloves, a spade and a healthy dose of enthusiasm.
So let's get planting!
