The Thorndon Heritage Project is continuing. It's the project that looks at how we manage the heritage and character of our oldest suburb through our District Plan (the city's planning rulebook).

We've been working with the community since 2009. In December 2010 we set up the Thorndon Advisory Group to help publicise the project and consult more widely about the issues.
Now we invite anyone who is interested to come to a stall at the Hill Street Farmers Market on Saturdays 9 and 16 April.
We can talk to you about the project and answer any questions you may have. The Thorndon Advisory Group will also be there. This way, you can find out more about the placed-based study of Thorndon - the first of its kind in Wellington - that will give us a unique way of looking at the character of the suburb.
The stalls will be open from 9.00am - 1.00pm.
