We're going the extra distance to spruce up parts of Wellington's central business district.
Our CitiOperations Manager is excited about a cleaner, more attractive city
With a record number of visitors expected for Rugby World Cup 2011 and an increase in graffiti, good impressions are particularly important. Yesterday we sent out crews to do more than their usual cleaning in Cuba Mall and the Left Bank.
They blasted away dirt, removed graffiti and stickers, touched up paint and improved the look of gardens and street furniture. Work will continue throughout the week.
We are asking all private building and business owners to please help us make our city look attractive.
