Everyone who is enrolled should have received an enrolment update pack in the mail. If you haven't yet received one, you'll need to enrol or update your details. The last chance to enrol is Friday 20 August.

Electoral Officer Ross Bly says Electoral Enrolment Centre figures show that around 15,000 eligible Wellington city voters aren't enrolled to vote. "That's 15,000 people who won't be able to have their say because they won't get their voting papers in the mail," says Ross.

"Come on Wellington - you've got to be enrolled to vote for the city you love."

Being enrolled means you get to vote in the City Council, Regional Council and Capital & Coast District Health Board elections which will be held on 9 October.

Postal voting papers go out on 17 September and voters will have until 12 noon on Saturday 9 October to get their vote in.

Enrolment forms are available by free-texting your name and address to 3676, from any PostShop or by phoning 0800 ENROL NOW (0800 36 76 56), or from the Elections New Zealand website. You can also check your details online at the Elections New Zealand website:
