Walk on the Wild Side

21 June 2010

Starting this Sunday you can explore Wellington's wonderful walkways with a friendly and informative park ranger as your guide.

The series of walks will be a monthly fixture until October and first up is a scavenger hunt followed by a special tree planting at Seton Nossiter Park in Newlands.

Park Ranger Joby Mills says each monthly walk will be at a different walkway in Wellington and follow a fun theme, such as history, photography or ghost hunting.

"The guided walks help introduce Wellingtonians to some of the great parks and walkways we have in the city. Each walk will have different activities and the focus will be on having fun."

The free walks are suitable for all ages and abilities and kids who come along will meet a special character friend.
