Culture Kicks in the Capital

22 March 2010

Wellington is set to go football crazy in the lead up to the World Cup and what better way to celebrate than having our very own football festival.

Culture Kicks, at Martin Luckie Park in Berhampore on Sunday 28 March, will see five-a-side teams representing countries from around the world and battling it out on the pitch for a chance to take home the 2010 trophy.

Even if you're not a fan of the sport, it will be well worth your while checking out everything else on offer.

There will be a variety of international food stalls, free children's activities such as face painting, Push Play games and a great line up of cultural groups performing.

The day kicks off just before 9.00am with prizegiving at 4.30pm.

So bring your football chants and anthems because this is one festival day you won't want to miss.
