Delight your senses with the kaleidoscope of colours, sounds and spicy aromas of the eighth annual
Indian Diwali Festival of Lights. Highlights this year include a free high-energy Bollywood dance competition at 8.00pm on Sunday 18 October at the TSB Bank Arena.

Also, check out the magical Rajasthani puppets hand-carved from mango wood, and Diwali Garba Dance Night featuring one of India's top folk dance groups from Gujarat on Saturday at 8.00pm, also at the TSB Bank Arena. Tickets at the door cost $5.

The Diwali Festival will also have traditional and contemporary performances, a fashion show, crafts and traditional food stalls, colourful lights, decorations and a spectacular fireworks display at 10.00pm on Sunday near Frank Kitts Park.

Diwali, which symbolises the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil and the renewal of life, is one of the most important and ancient of Indian festivals.
