Climate Change Festival
20 October 2009
350 will be the number on everyone's lips on the waterfront this weekend. Signifying the safe amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere (350 parts per million), 350 Aotearoa will be raising awareness about climate
change this Saturday 24 October.
As part of the fun, there will be two group cycling events in Wellington on Saturday - 'Round the Bays' and 'Frocks on Bikes'. The cyclists will finish their rides on the waterfront at around 1.00pm and join in some 350 Climate Change Day of Action festivities at Mac's Brewery.
On the waterfront, at the bottom of Taranaki Street, there'll be food for sale, information stalls on how to do your bit to fight climate change and live music throughout the day. 'Round the Bays' and 'Frocks on Bikes' are also part of our Push Play Outdoor Festival - running throughout the month of October.
Pick up a festival brochure from Feeling Great stalls, pools and libraries for more information on the festival. You can also go to the 350 Aotearoa website to see what's happening in Wellington to mark the international 350 Climate Change Day of Action.
