Some of the successful applicants include:
- Thorndon Farmers' Market Trust – $20,000 from the economic pool to help establish an authentic farmers' market in Thorndon.
- Toi Maori Aotearoa – $15,000 from the cultural pool for a Maori music event and workshop.
- Mokai Kainga Maori Centre Charitable Trust – $5000 from the environmental pool towards a community garden on Happy Valley Road.
The results for the July round of Sports Development Grants were also announced today – with just under $50,000 granted across 10 local sports clubs and organisations.

The next round of General Grants is now open – there's funding available for non-profit groups with projects that support the social, cultural, environmental and economic well-being of Wellington city. This will be the second of three rounds for this financial year – and is for projects starting after 14 December.
The deadline for applications is 5.00pm, Friday 30 October.
Applications for funding from the Joe Aspell Trust also close on that day.
