Skills Seminars for Teens

Visit the Central Library on Victoria Street at 4.00pm Thursday 6 August for some pointers on finding a job, keeping it and making sure your boss treats you right.

This week's seminar - Work and Wage - is part of the Urban Survival Series at the library. The seminars are designed to teach some of the essential skills of everyday life and are aimed at 15 - 18 year-olds - but all teenagers are welcome.

There are three more sessions at the Central Library after this week:

  • Tuesday 11 August, 7.00pm - 8.00pm
    Staying Sane - family, friends, relationships and school - dealing with the stresses of teenage life
  • Thursday 20 August, 4.00pm - 5.00pm
    Money, Money, Money - budgets and banks, how to make money and keep it
  • Tuesday 25 August, 7.00pm - 8.00pm
    Safe and Sound - learn some useful self-defence moves (wear comfortable clothing)

All you need to do is show up - just head to the information desk and they'll point you in the right direction.
