Ministry of Pacific Peoples – Vision
The Ministry is working with Pacific peoples, youth, church leaders,
disabled, women, men, leaders, business peoples, organisations, groups across
NZ to conduct focus group and large group meetings to receive feedback from
our peoples; we want the voice of our communities included in this work the
Ministry is leading.

Over 60% of Pacific are now born in NZ.

The Pacific migration story that has historically underpinned Pacific
communities in NZ, while continuing to be a very important part of the
Pacific community context, it no longer provides an all-encompassing frame of

We will set the scene initially about the Pacific Vision work we have
embarked on nationally, and then we would like to talanoa about it with PAG
members getting their feedback from the set questions we have; for example – what
are the biggest issues facing our Pacific communities in Wgtn? What do
you think needs to change?
