My principal place of residence is in the Takapū / Northern Ward area.
Since being elected as a councillor in 2016, I've worked hard to represent the people of Takapū Northern Ward at the Council table. I have the Natural Environment portfolio, and am City Scientist. I represent the Council on the Wellington Zoo Board and the Zealandia Guardians.
In the ward, I have led community plantings, clean-ups and picnics, participated in many neighbourhood events, supported constituents, and advocated for modern community facilities, new reserves and tracks, and safer streets.
In a second term, I would continue to focus on protecting and enhancing the environment, improving housing, and creating an inclusive and active community. I support investment to ensure that Wellington continues as the world's most liveable city.
My career in science shapes my approach to gathering evidence and making decisions. I work closely with my fellow ward councillors, and have constructive relationships with elected representatives across the city and the Wellington region.
