Tawa Community Board
Principal place of residence:
Within the Tawa Community Board area
I have lived in Tawa with my family for 35 years and my four children attended local schools. I am a member of Our Lady of Hope Parish, and the Tawa branches of Rotary, U3A, Probus, and the RSA.
I have qualifications in civil engineering and public policy. I have worked for the Wellington City Council and have been in senior management at Porirua City Council and Local Government NZ (the national body for local authorities).
I have expertise and interest in the needs of seniors, and in transport, water, wastewater, waste minimisation, and the environment. Some of the key community issues that I would advocate for are improved traffic management and parking in the Main Road and the Linden shopping centres, continuation of the On Demand bus service, commuter car parking, upgrading of bridges, limitations on multi-unit developments, and recreational facilities for young families.
