Candidate statement

Wellington's northern suburbs need stronger representation, especially in this time of change. The council must do a better job of listening to our needs and I want to make that happen.

I have lived in Johnsonville for almost 30 years. I am the current president of the Johnsonville Residents' Association and a public transport advocate. I have experience in taking action in these roles, including local roading upgrades and ensuring we avoided the worst of the bus debacle.

Rate increases are projected to be 34% over the coming three years. I will advocate for evidence-based, transparent use of your rates to make Wellington a better place to live. We need vibrant suburban centres with thriving businesses and reliable transport links.

I'll ask the hard questions and advocate for common-sense decisions, so Council's focus is on service and investment: fixing infrastructure, better transport, and good community facilities. Please rank me #1.
