Candidate statement

Tēna koutou katoa.

I work for a strong sustainable community.

A Tawa resident since 1990, I have worked in the public and private sectors, am involved in equity

investing, and have raised four children. I have degrees in law, philosophy, and a postgraduate diploma in information studies. I have coordinated the Tawa Community Garden since its startup in 2015 and volunteer for a range of other groups.

In 2016 I joined the Tawa Community Board and became its Chair in 2019. As Chair I worked to create stronger relationships across local government, business, and other organisations. This helped Tawa receive the region's first trial of on-demand public transport and raised the Board's ability to lead on local issues and projects at Council level.

Leadership based on respectful, collaborative relationships and strategic, sustainable thinking, brings positive results for residents.

Vote for me for experienced positive leadership at the Council table.
