Candidate statement
I have lived in the Northern Suburbs all my life and attended Westpark School and call Ohariu Valley my home.
My focus for the residents of Makara and Ohariu is to continue improving roading and road safety (especially with the ongoing increase in the number of heavy vehicles and cyclists), phone communications and other utilities, resource consent compliance with the district plan, championing the Makara Beach restoration project and actively engaging with groups that effect our daily lives. For the significant amount of rates rural residents pay our infrastructure and sustainable areas need Council focus.
A graduate of Victoria University with a degree in economics, commerce and administration, I work locally running a successful consultancy firm specialising in finance and corporate governance. I'm also a Chartered Accountant, a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors.
I have been the Chair of the Makara-Ohariu Community Board for the last three years.
