Enrolling and voting

You can find enrolment information in accessible formats on the Electoral Commission site. Formats include New Zealand sign language, audio, large print, and e-text. Info included:

Information in different languages

Enrolment information is available on Vote.nz in several different languages. These include: English, te reo Māori, NZSL, Arabic, Burmese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Cook Islands Māori, Farsi – Persian, French, Gujarati, Hindi, Japanese, Khmer, Korea, Malay, Niuean, Punjabi, Russian, Samoan, Somali, Tagalog, Tamil, Thai, Tokelauan, Tongan, and Vietnamese.

Candidate booklets in accessible formats

These files include candidate statements for each candidate, as they are printed in the physical candidate booklets. Large print files are organised in the order that nominations were received. Audio and braille file types also include information on Greater Wellington Regional Council candidates, as well as candidates standing for community boards in their relevant wards.

Hard copy braille books

Hard copy braille books of candidate statements are available at the following libraries:
Te Awe (Brandon St), Arapaki (Manners St), Newtown, Johnsonville, Kilbirnie. See address details and hours for the libraries.  

Plus one hard copy braille book is available at the Blind Low Vision NZ, Wellington office.
