How to use

We've installed sensors in the ground for all the parking spaces in the city. Each parking space has its own number.

  1. Note your parking space number
  2. Enter the parking space number at the parking meter
  3. Choose your time and type of payment
  4. Pay and walk away - there's no need to display your ticket

  5. Using your parking receipt elsewhere in the city

If you use PayMyPark or Phone2park, you will only pay for the time you use. However, if you have time remaining after paying at a parking meter and printing a receipt, you can park in another zone of equal or lesser value until your time has run out. Make sure you display the receipt when you move to a new park.

Where

There are four parking fee areas. These are:

  • $4.50 per hour
  • $4 per hour
  • $3 per hour
  • $1.50 per hour

The central city parking fee area map (428KB PDF) outlines how much you should pay for parking and where.

Check the label on the parking meter when you pay for parking to make sure you pay the correct amount.

The colours on the map will match the labels on parking meters.
