COVID-19 update – Alert Level 2

Normal fees apply for on-street parking

Motorists have been required to pay for all forms of on-street parking since Tuesday 12 May. Under Alert Level 2 this requirement remains in place. This includes all forms of on-street parking including metered, coupon and resident parking, and parking time restrictions (such as P120, clearways, and bus lanes).

All normal payment options are available at the parking meters. These are: cash, debit and credit cards, as well as the Txt-a-park payment option for Spark and Vodafone customers. The PayMyPark phone app is also available for customers to use.

All parking officers have been issued with appropriate PPE and staff are strictly adhering to 2-metre distancing when nearing any members of the public.

Temporary free 15-minute drop off and pick-up areas

The Council has put in place a number of temporary free 15-minute parking zones across the city and some of the bigger suburbs so people can visit local businesses and food outlets. These are clearly signposted.

Coupon parking

Resident parking

Resident parking applications approved during Level 4 and Level 3 are being processed and will be mailed out to customers from the week beginning 11 May 2020. In the meantime parking officers have access to resident only parking vehicle details, including those yet to receive their new or replacement sticker.
