Wadestown Community Centre, Pitt Street
Built in 1905 to house a local Working Men’s Club, the building was the home of the Wadestown Library from 1932 until 1985 when the current library was built.
It has been run as a small community centre ever since, hosting a community crèche and toy library during school terms, and other activities outside of the crèche’s hours.
The Wadestown Community Centre is located at 46 Pitt Street, Wadestown (up the hill off Lennel Road).
The community centre is used mainly as a crèche during the school term. Other community classes or activities are held in the evenings according to community needs. The space can be used for: community or annual general meetings, children's birthday parties, after-school classes, holiday programme activities, and hobby group activities.
