Ngā Hau e Whā o Paparārangi

Ngā Hau e Whā o Paparārangi is a community centre and society based in Newlands. The centre is used for a variety of community events including kapa haka, and for activities related to the society's planting project.

Accessibility

Wheelchair ramps are located at both entrances to the community centre.

Facilities

The centre has capacity for 40 people overnight, or 80-100 people during the day. There is a hāngi area in addition to the kitchen. Tables, chairs, mattresses, pillows and bedlinen are available. 

Kitchen: oven, fridge, microwave, dishes and cutlery, urn, hot water Zip.

Equipment: projector and screen, flat screen television, two heatpumps, WiFi.

  • $25 per hour
  • $100 per day
  • $250 bond for overnight use (no alcohol)
  • $500 bond for overnight use (with alcohol)
