Ngā Hau e Whā o Paparārangi

Ngā Hau e Whā o Paparārangi is a community centre and society based in Newlands. The centre is used for a variety of community events including kapa haka, and for activities related to the society's planting project.

On site parking is available.

Accessibility

Wheelchair ramps are located at both entrances and the facility has accessible toilets.

Facilities

The centre has capacity for 40 people overnight, or 80-100 people during the day. There is a hāngi area in addition to the kitchen. Tables, chairs, mattresses, pillows and bedlinen are available. 

Kitchen: Fridge, oven, microwave, hot water zip.

Dining:  10 tables, 40 chairs, chillers.

Multipurpose space: Has capacity for 80-100 people during the day or 35 people overnight.

Equipment: Whiteboard, projector, heat pumps, WiFi.

Outdoors: Large front lawn area, hangi pit (at rear of building).

  • $25 per hour
  • $100 per day
  • $250 bond for overnight use (no alcohol)
  • $500 bond for overnight use (with alcohol)
