Get excited about Wellington Anniversary weekend!

The weekend starts with our annual Pasifika Festival on Saturday 23 January. You can see the full programme at Wellington Pasifika Festival.

On Sunday 24 January, there will be a Wellington Anniversary firework display going off at 9.30pm for approximately ten minutes. These will be let off at two harbour locations; Oriental Bay Beach and Frank Kitts Park. Come on down early, grab some kai from the local food trucks and secure a viewing spot along the waterfront.

This is followed by an event filled day on Monday 25 January, where we will run a kid’s zone in Frank Kitts Park, have live music in Odlins Plaza, a circus stage in Circa Plaza, and Mahons Amusement rides in Waitangi Park. We will also have food trucks from midday onwards.
