Road stopping - Amritsar Street, Khandallah

Wellington City Council, under section 342(1) of the Local Government Act 1974, proposes to stop a 58m² portion of legal road land in Amritsar Street, Khandallah.

The Council has determined that it no longer requires this land for public road purposes and has no other purpose for the land.

The land (Sections 1-3 SO 572968) adjoins 20 Amritsar Street, Khandallah (Lot 1 DP 12004, held on ROT WN484/223). Once the 58m2 of road land is stopped Section 2 SO 572968 will be sold to the owners of 20 Amritsar Street and the land titles amalgamated. Sections 1 and 3 SO 572968 will remain in Council ownership.

Any future buildings or activities on the land will be governed by the Wellington City Council District Plan once stopped.

Objections to this proposal must be lodged in writing with Sarah-Jane Still, Property Services, Wellington City Council.

Objections can be posted to PO Box 2199; dropped off to Council reception at 113 The Terrace, Level 16; or emailed to sarah-jane.still@wcc.govt.nz.

All objections must be received before 5pm, 27 July 2022.
