We’re considering granting one new lease on reserve land, and two new leases on Wellington Town Belt land.

We’re considering granting one new lease on reserve land detailed below:

Applicant: Vogelmorn Tennis Club (existing tenant) 
Location: Site 0349, Vennel Street Reserve, Brooklyn (reserve land)
Legal Description: Lot 6, 6A,7 Deposited Plan 1862 and Lot 9-10 Deposited Plan 6920 (CFR WN383/235)
Lease Type: Reserve Ground Lease 
Leased Area: 2890 m²
Use: Tennis
Lease Fee: $1,909.67 per annum + GST
Term: 10 years + 5 years

If approved, the provisions of the Reserves Act 1977 will apply.

We’re also considering granting two new leases on Wellington Town Belt land detailed below:

Applicant: Wellington Municipal Croquet Club
Location: Site 0381, Alexandra Road, Newtown Town Belt, Newtown (Town Belt)
Legal Description: Part Lot 1 Deposited Plan 8519 and Part College Reserve (CFR 742962)
Lease Type: Reserve Premises Lease 
Leased Area: 124 m² 
Use: Croquet Clubrooms
Lease Fee: $230.07 per annum + GST
Term: 10 years +10 years

Applicant: Wellington Potters Association 
Location: Site 2369, Tinakori Hills, Thorndon (Town Belt)
Legal Description: Part Lot 1 Deposited Plan 46132 (CFR WN47C/458)
Lease Type: Reserve Ground Lease 
Leased Area: 280 m² 
Use: Conducting and promoting the art and craft of pottery and all associated activities
Lease Fee: $444.08 per annum + GST
Term: 10 years +10 years

If approved the provisions of the Wellington Town Belt Act 2016, and the Wellington Town Belt Management Plan 2017 (14.7MB PDF) will apply.
