A two-day party in celebration of Wellington's best-loved street.

CubaDupa cancelled

Due to COVID-19, CubaDupa has been cancelled for 2020.

From 28-29 March 2020, all of Wellington will come out to celebrate the city’s most vibrant and creative part of town.

CubaDupa 2020 is set to be the biggest and best yet with 12 stages featuring 1,500 artists and performers from all over the world, more than 100 food stalls and special creative zones.

New for 2020

At the heart of music at CubaDupa 2020 is CubaSonic – a ten-minute-long mass musical interruption by New Zealand’s leading composer John Psathas. This unmissable experience will feature almost 500 musicians, 12 conductors, a custom-made overhead sound system, and Chime Red - a locally-invented Tesla coil synthesiser.
