CubaDupa

A weekend-long celebration of Wellington's most vibrant and creative street.

A two-man bike ridden by circus performers dressed in colourful attire and captains hats, surrounded by a large crowd on the middle of Cuba Street.

CubaDupa is the largest free outdoor arts and music festival in New Zealand, and is held in late March each year.

The festival attracts more than 100,000 people and features hundreds of live music performances, street theatre, community parades, dancing in the streets, opera, circus, visual arts, creative installations, interactive projects and art experiences, as well a dedicated food and culinary area.

CubaDupa 2021

Unfortunately CubaDupa 2020 was cancelled in response to Covid-19, but the festival will return bigger and better than ever in 2021.
