• You must be 5 years or older to use the spa pool, and children aged 5–8 must be accompanied by an adult who is 16 or older.
• You must be 16 years or older to use the sauna.

Swim memberships are an economical option if you swim at our pools 3 or more times a week. They're available for all Council pools.

Swim memberships

Concession passes are a convenient and cheap option if you use our pools regularly – buy a concession pass. For current LeisureCard members, your discount is automatically applied if it's available on the pass you're buying.

Concession passes are non-refundable, non-transferable, and are valid for two years.

We offer:

• year-round swimming lessons for children aged 5 months to 14 years through SwimWell
• adult swimming lessons for all abilities.

We offer a range of aquafitness exercise classes in our pools.

We also offer hydrotherapy classes, which are designed for people who suffer from arthritis, joint and circulation problems, or have limited mobility.

Groups can book swimming lanes. Minimum required:

• 6 swimmers for a 25-metre lane
• 10 swimmers for a 50-metre lane.

Full pool bookings will be considered for community events or activities.

Non-commercial fees:

• $9.50 per hour for a 25-metre lane
• $20.00 per hour for a 50-metre lane

Commercial fees:

• $30.00 per hour for a 25-metre lane
• $60.00 for a 50-metre lane

We need at least 10 days notice for booking requests. All bookings are subject to availability.

You can store your things in the lockable cubby holes by the main and spray pools with a padlock. You can bring your own, or purchase one at reception.

You can keep small items safe at reception – just ask for a free valuables tray. We'll give you a tag, which you can hand back when you want to collect your items.

You can buy a towel at reception for $7.

You are allowed to bring snacks for children into the centre, but no commercial food.

We sell swimwear and swimming accessories for all ages.

You are welcome to breastfeed in public at our pools.

Spray pool:

• 7 x family changing rooms

Children under 3 years old must wear a waterproof nappy or Little Swimmer swimming pants in the pool.

You can buy Huggies Little Swimmers and Zoggs reusable nappies for infants at our swim shop.

• 5 x in the front car park
• 7 x in the back car park 

The facility is wheelchair accessible to the 50-metre pool and the hydrotherapy pool.

Water wheelchairs are available for use around the pool.

The water-play area has a beach entry.

There is a lift to the Club Active gym.

One of the changing rooms in the hydrotherapy area has a hoist that can access the pool (max. weight 220kg).

11 x accessible changing rooms:

• 7 with accessible showers and toilets
• 2 with height-adjustable shower change tables.

Bike stands are outside the front entrance by the bus stop.

Buses on the routes 2 and 14 stop outside the facility.

There are 3 main parking areas around the facility – 2 can be accessed from Kilbirnie Crescent, and 1 from Evans Bay Parade.
