Background to the project

We've set up this pilot project to turn Smart Energy projects – community-driven projects that aim to reduce energy use and increase clean energy – into reality in Wellington. To do this, we're working collaboratively with these local social enterprise and climate change solutions organisations:

Applications for the 2014 Smart Energy Challenge closed on 2 March. 

All three teams for the 2014 Challenge reached the crowdfunding targets on Pledgeme - the Council matched these contributions dollar for dollar.
