Permaculture Hui in Island Bay

Eating local food and choosing eco-friendly ways of living will be promoted at national hui in Island Bay this weekend.

An urban harvest.

Speakers at the Permaculture Hui 2014 at Tapu Te Ranga Marae include Will Lau, founder of Wellington company Bucky Box, which builds cloud software to help local growers distribute their food.

Also featured is Ecostore founder Malcolm Rands, whose company sells plant and mineral-based household cleaners, body care and baby products, and Kay Baxter, who set up New Zealand’s first heirloom seed company.
