The draft management plan will provide a clear framework for the Council to manage the Botanic Gardens over the next 10 years.

The main proposals in this plan include:

  • the development of a children’s garden
  • developing the Treehouse as a major visitor centre
  • establishing the Cockayne Centre at Otari-Wilton’s Bush.

The Wellington Town Belt Bill will strengthen and protect the Town Belt. The Bill will help modernise the governance arrangements for the Town Belt under the Town Belt deed.

To have your say on the Bill and the draft plan, complete the online or printable submission forms on the consultation pages below.

If you’d like to make an oral submission to Councillors in support of your written submission for either of these consultations, please let us know and provide your contact details.
