Candidate - Norbert Hausberg

Norbert Hausberg.

Norbert Hausberg

Standing for:
Capital and Coast District Health Board

Affiliation:
Independent

Statement:
My principal place of residence is in the Capital and Coast District Health Board area. I am also standing for Wellington Regional Council.

Wellington has been my home for the past 25 years and I brought up my two children here. I worked in schools throughout the region as a performer and later as a New Zealand trained teacher. Last year I hand-built my own house.
This is the first time I have stood for the Health Board. Our health system is good but there is certainly room for improvement. Building on the success of the DHB at present, I would push to:

  • Make better provision for managing and preventing long-term illness.
  • Encourage people to take more responsibility for their own health.
  • Support the families of people with high health or disability needs.
  • Health is every body's interest and concern and the DHB needs the fresh and independent perspective.

Vote 1 Norbert Hausberg.

Conflict of Interest Statement:
To the best of my knowledge and belief, I have no conflicts of interest with the Capital and Coast District Health Board (DHB) at the date of my notice of consent to being nominated as a candidate for membership of the board of the DHB, and I do not believe that any such conflicts of interest are likely to arise in future.
