Interpreting service

Interpreters at the Service Centre can help you understand information from the Council or answer queries on Council business.

Wellington City Council offers a free interpreting service to improve communication between ethnic community members and the Council.

English version

Interpreters are available to help you:

  • understand information from the Council
  • answer any questions you may have about Council business.

You can ask for an interpreter by:

  • calling the Council
  • sending an email to
  • visiting the Service Centre on the ground floor of the Council offices, 101 Wakefield Street.
