Khandallah Pool
All Wellington City Council pools have space available for hire. Each pool has a different range of hire options.
ChargesHire charges are different for commercial and non-commercial groups. Commercial applies to profit-making organisations. Non-commercial applies to not-for-profit organisations that are incorporated societies. Lane HireAll pools have lanes for hire that vary in length from 25 metres to 50 metres. All hire charges are per hour, per lane, and do not include pool entry charges. 25 to 33 metre lanes - minimum of six people per lane:
50 metres (Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre only) - minimum of 12 people per lane:
Pool HireWellington Regional Aquatic Centre's main pool can be grouped into 25 or 30-metre sections with a maximum of 10 lanes, suitable for a range of water sports or activities. It has a variety of depths: 1.2, 2 and 5 metres. The 5 metre section has four springboards (two x 1 metre, and two 3 metre boards) and three diving platforms (5 metres, 7.5 metres and 10 metres). Other Facilities for HireSome Wellington City Pools also have meeting rooms for hire. Hire charges are per hour and include use of tables and chairs, if required. No entry charges apply unless users are participating in other activities where charges apply. Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre Meeting RoomsThe main meeting room on the ground floor can be moved into one large or two smaller separate areas. The upstairs meeting room is carpeted. Capacity figures below are approximate. Downstairs (lino flooring): Small meeting room (20-40 people):
