Some City Housing buildings have community rooms that are managed by a local committee that answers to the Wellington Housing Association of Tenants (WHAT).
Every community room is different, but all are designed to offer tenants a place to go to read, socialise with neighbours or meet with their housing representatives. Most are equipped with kitchen facilities and a lounge or meeting area.
Alcohol, drugs and excessive noise are prohibited in all community rooms.
Community rooms are open to tenants on regular hours, established by the building's committee. They may also be reserved for private functions or meetings.
To book a community room, speak to a member of your building's committee or contact WHAT.
