The Council has created a new grant scheme for sports and recreation organisations in Wellington so they can receive professional advice and support for enhancing their strategic management.
Value
$50,000 in total is available annually. Grants will be allocated three times a year in line with the Council's general grant rounds.
Purpose
To help fund professional advice and support for enhancing the strategic management of sports and recreation organisations.
Criteria
Organisations should:
- be not for profit, legally constituted sports or recreation organisations
- have a constitutionally ‘open’ membership
- be operating in the Wellington rate paying area
- be affiliated to a SPARC recognised national body.
Examples of eligible projects:
- club development, e.g. strategic/business planning, marketing planning, accounts mentoring
- recreation planning, e.g. strengthening school/club links, sharing resources/facilities.
