The Built Heritage Incentive Fund encourages the conservation of the city's heritage-listed buildings and objects.
Value
There is $200,000 available for grants in 2009/10.
Grants from the fund are allocated three times a year - the last working day of July, November and March. Please contact the Grants Advisor for availability.
Purpose
The grants help with conserving, restoring and protecting Wellington's built heritage. The grants also help meet some of the additional costs associated with owning and caring for a heritage property.
Criteria
In each funding round priority will be given to the following:
- at-risk significant heritage buildings and objects
- fire protection systems for residential owners
- funding for professional services
- projects that have high public access and/or visibility from public places
