Details and profiles on Wellington's environmental community groups.
There are many volunteer groups in Wellington that focus on environmental projects and organise working bees in Council parks and reserves.
Volunteer activities include:
- planting and restoration
- pest animal control
- weed control
- track building
- rubbish collection
- public education
- fundraising to enhance reserves.
This voluntary action makes a huge contribution to biodiversity management.
