Our interactive #PeakBragging map has advice and tips on 12 peaks around the city. Most of the walks are suitable for people with average fitness and we've included information on making the hike a bit longer if you're feeling adventurous.

Te Kopahou Reserve has important conservation values and is a unique Wellington asset. Within the 600ha reserve you can:

  • enjoy a variety of walking and mountain biking tracks
  • use the popular diving, surfcasting and beachcombing areas
  • see fur seals (in season), interesting flora, historical sites and outstanding views.

The reserve also includes the Red Rocks Coastal Walk (2−3 hours).
