We’re building a garden for children in the Wellington Botanic Gardens. The garden will provide opportunities for children and families to learn about people and plants, develop an interest in their natural environment and aspire to live in healthy urban environments.
The Discovery Garden will be an amazing living classroom where curious minds can explore and learn about the natural world. Children can learn how plants have shaped the way we live today. We’ll be focusing on the fantastic uses of plants - for food, fibre, medicine, and construction.
The garden opens on Saturday 30 September 2017. Education sessions will be available from 17 October.
The Discovery Garden a will be a fun place for children to learn about plants.
There are all sorts of fun activities going on in the garden.
