ASB indoor athletics programme
This programme follows the International Amateur Athletics Federation's (IAAF) athletics coaching course for children aged 5 - 12 (school years 1 - 8).
Bookings are available for weekly sessions throughout a term, or for one-off sessions.
The programme works on basic athletics skills, drills and activities, with a focus on a fun, participation and competition. It provides a base for speed and agility in all sports.
There are come-and-try sessions for futsal, netball, basketball, floorball, korfball, ultimate frisbee, volleyball and handball.
Schools can use these sessions to try a sport before committing to a longer-term coaching programme.
Each session gives students the chance to learn and develop skills, as well as playing structured games.
The primary school gymnastics programme gives a fun and safe environment for learning and developing the key gymnastic skills of balance, locomotion, rotation, springs and landings.
The sessions are structured with clear progression and opportunities for students to develop, and gain confidence and motivation.
Schools can book for a term of sports coaching given by the centre's partner sports associations. This could follow on from a come-and-try session.
Booking full-term development programmes gives schools access to high-quality specialist sports coaching in a number of sports.
The sports coaching programme increases skill levels and understanding of a new sport. It also gives students links to local clubs and teams.
