This petition provides an opportunity for us all to come to terms with a social problem deeply imbedded in our society through compliance with a total liquor ban City wide. This way we all have to behave and provides good role models for our children. |
| Background information: |
This petition comes as a result of drinking in public places by those most affected by the liquor ban in an area already socially challenged. The residents of Newtown, after six months of unacceptable and disorderly behaviour as a result of alcohol consumption in public places, have had enough.
