Background

Bylaws must be reviewed every 10 years under the terms of the Local Government Act 2002 (LGA) and the traffic bylaw needed to be reviewed by February 2016.

In 2011, the traffic bylaw had a technical review. At that time, changes were made to address specific issues and to make sure the bylaw would apply to new technology for parking. This meant that the bylaw has kept up with changing technology and only minor improvements were proposed at this review.
